Paygo Gas is on a mission to change the way Uganda cooks. We are a clean energy company dedicated to eliminating the dependence on charcoal and firewood by making Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) accessible, affordable, and safe for every household, institution, and small business across the country.

Through innovative pay-as-you-go metered technology, we have removed the biggest barrier to clean energy adoption—high upfront costs—allowing families and businesses to pay for gas in small, manageable amounts as they use it. Our work spans three core projects, each designed to reach a different but equally important segment of the community:

1. Household Metered Gas
We provide homes with LPG cylinders fitted with smart metering technology, allowing families to pay only for the gas they use, when they use it. This makes clean cooking energy affordable for households of all income levels, replacing the health hazards and inefficiency of charcoal and firewood with safe, fast, and reliable gas cooking.

2. Institutional Conversion
We work with schools, hospitals, prisons, and other institutions that rely heavily on firewood for large-scale cooking. By converting these institutions to LPG, we help them reduce fuel costs, improve kitchen safety, cut down on deforestation, and create healthier environments for staff, students, patients, and communities.

3. Street Food Vendor Conversion
Street food vendors are the backbone of urban food economies, yet many still cook over charcoal, exposing themselves and their customers to smoke and health risks. Through our metered LPG technology, we equip vendors with clean, efficient, and cost-effective cooking solutions that improve their daily earnings while protecting their health and the environment.
